Romaine Lettuce Recipes: Why Use The Super Veggie In Smoothies

Learning how to eat and drink healthy is something that everybody should be doing. We fit people are always looking around for new nutritious food and beverages that’ll improve our well-being. One vegetable in particular that’s packed with essential nutrients is the romaine lettuce, and we’ll be talking about it in the paragraph below.

As you probably already know, there are plenty of romaine lettuce recipes to choose from out there, but using the leafy green in smoothies is the best way to extract all of its nutritional value. You see, placing it in a blender breaks down all of its cell walls; this is where all the vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients are stored. Blending ensures that you get all of the goodness the supper veggie has to give.

This is so unlike the other romaine lettuce recipes, where they normally prefer using it in salads of different variations. Of course these menus are also healthy, but they don’t guarantee the maximum extraction of all the nutrition that’s locked within the cell walls.

Moving forward, there’s a ton of different ingredients that mix well with this vegetable. But for today, I’ll only be sharing one in particular that’s pretty popular. But before we take this any further, you’re going to have to gather the equipment and ingredients for this concoction, so check out the list in the next paragraph.

Here’s what you’re going to need: a blender, ½ romaine lettuce head, 3 bananas, ½ cup of blueberries and a mango. Next, take all of the fruits, place them in the blender and blend it for about 40 seconds. Then, take the leafy green and toss it in the blender, slice up everything real good, and you’re done.

Another big factor that makes this concoction more beneficial as compared to the common romaine lettuce recipes most like to use is the fixings added to the mixture. All these healthy fruits are well-known for their nourishing properties for human health; and given the fact that we’ve decided to put all of them in a blender, your body will be absorbing up to 95% of all its goodness.

However, I’d like you to know that I am not in any way degrading the normal romaine lettuce recipes others like making. They’ve got their fair share of nutrition; only difference is this method of preparation (blending) has been proven to extract the good stuff within veggies better.
