Green Smoothie Recipes

Before making your first green smoothie, it is good to have a few helpful reminders.

Firstly, always mix the greens and water first and blend for at least 30 seconds or until they are incorporated very well. This is to make sure that the cellular walls of the greens are broken down so you can get the maximum amount of nutrients. Fruit is usually softer and does not require as much blending so this can be added after the greens.

  • 1 carrot, peeled and chopped
  • ¼ c cucumber, chopped
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored and sliced
  • ¼ c cashew nuts, crushed
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 1 c apple juice
  • ¼ c yogurt

Smoothie Fresh Start

  • 1 stick of celery, chopped
  • 1 c apple juice
  • 3 strawberries, halved
  • ½ c strawberry yogurt

This light and easy smoothie recipe will leave you feeling cleansed from within. First, blend the chopped celery and apple juice in blender. Once they are thoroughly mixed, add in the strawberries and yogurt. Bend again. When the consistency turns frothy and smooth, it’s ready to serve.

Rainforest Supreme Smoothie

  • 1 c chopped spinach
  • ½ c chopped carrots
  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 c apples juice
  • ½ c crushed ice

Rainforest Supreme is a healthy smoothie with a sweet fruity flavor. To prepare, first blend the apple juice and the spinach together. Make sure they are thoroughly mixed. Next, add the carrots and banana and blend well. Add the crushed ice last and blend a third time until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy.

Tomato Salad Smoothie

  • 2 tomatoes, chopped and seeds removed
  • 1 c tomato juice
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • 3 basil leaves

Luscious and full flavored, this amazing smoothie will surely surprise you with its sweet and pleasant flavor. To mix, just put all the ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Immediately serve and enjoy!

Fountain Of Youth

  • ½ c green grapes, peeled
  • ½ orange, peeled and sectioned
  • ½ pear, chopped
  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • ½ c kale
  • 1 c water
  • ½ c crushed ice

If there were a fountain of youth, it wouldn’t be water that wouldn’t be in it. Instead, it would be this fruity smoothie that’s so full of flavor and healthy goodness to keep your cells young and strong. To create this smoothie, just blend all ingredients on low speed for 60 seconds. Increase the speed to high and blend until smooth. Serve and enjoy!
