Banana Smoothie Recipes

The Classic Banana Smoothie

  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and chopped
  • ½ c non-fat yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 c crushed ice

The perfect recipe to try for your first smoothie. Just combine all the ingredients together in a blender and blend until smooth. Drink immediately.

Banana and Cinnamon Smoothie

  • 1 ripe banana, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 c of low-fat milk
  • 2 ice-cubes or ½ c crushed ice
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon

This recipe will remind you of Christmas. Put the milk and the banana in the blender and blend until the mixture is smooth and frothy. Pour in a glass, add ice and sprinkle some cinnamon on top before serving.

If you prefer, you may also add some crushed ice together with the milk and banana in the blender. Once they’re combined into a smooth mix, pour into a glass, add a pinch of cinnamon on top, and serve.

Le Amiga Smoothie

  • 2 bananas, peeled and chopped
  • 1 large mango
  • ½ c low-fat milk

Put the ingredients in a blender and blend until the mixture is smooth and even. Great dessert to top off a sumptuous meal. Serve immediately.

Banana Oats Smoothie

  • 1 large or 2 small bananas, peeled and chopped
  • 1 c ice-cold milk
  • 1 tbsp rolled porridge oats
  • 2 ice cubes or 1 c crushed ice

Place all ingredients into the blender and mix for approximately 30 seconds. Consume immediately. This recipe is great for breakfast.

Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie

  • 1 banana, peeled and chopped
  • 1 c soy milk/ low-fat milk
  • 1 tbsp creamy peanut butter
  • A pinch of cinnamon

Place all ingredients into the blender and blend until thick and smooth. This is a recipe that kids will surely enjoy!
